Avocados Are Awesome
I am always amazed by the number of people who consider avocados “unhealthy” or “fattening” when the delicious reality is that they are true wonder foods. Avocados are filled with heart-healthy monounsaturated fats that lower bad (LDL) cholesterol while boosting good (HDL) cholesterol. This delicacy also offers a remarkably long list of other vital nutrients including a hefty dose of soluble fiber (that feeds the good bacteria in your gut!), vitamin E, B vitamins, numerous minerals, and special cholesterol-lowering plant substances called phytosterols. Avocados can also boast making it into the top 20 most potent antioxidant foods. It just doesn’t get more tasty and healthy than that!
