Over HALF of Americans have elevated cholesterol levels so please make note of these foods – most of which are scrumptious!
Nuts – any variety
Seeds – any variety, especially flax and chia seeds
Beans- any variety
Oats – Old Fashioned or steel cut oats best
Oat bran
Barley
Whole soy foods – plain soy milk, tofu, tempeh, and edamame
Extra virgin olive oil
Avocados
Berries

Try this delicious recipe that I call the 5-Minute Superstar Breakfast featuring nuts and seeds!
1 cup of frozen berries
1/2 banana
1/2 cup plain kefir or greek yogurt
2 Tbsp. hemp seeds
1 Tbsp. chia seeds
2 Tbsp. 100% canned pumpkin
Pinch of cinnamon
Optional additional ingredients:
Oatmeal – steel cut oats
Homemade granola
1 tsp. bee pollen
Drizzle of raw honey
DIRECTIONS
Simply microwave the berries and banana for about 1-minute, stir them together, then add some or all of the ingredients listed above.
