On the subject of potent antioxidants, we now know that constantly infusing our bodies with a steady stream of them should be the “bedrock” for healthy living.  A landmark, highly ambitious study that monitored genetic mutations through the human equivalent of 5,000 years — has shown for the very first time that the lion’s share of all DNA(genetic) mutations (the defining step in cancer development) occurs through oxidative damage.  (Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Sept 09)  We already know that oxidative stress at the cellular level is a key driver of aging and many other chronic diseases.

Bottom line – your fork and your spoon in combination with the right ammo (plant foods) are the most powerful weapons you have for combating broad spectrum disease and aging.
