Trans Fats Linked to Depression

The wicked ways of trans fats have struck again! Based on a provocative new report involving over 12,000 European adults followed over a 6 year period of time, scientists concluded that those consuming the most trans fats were nearly 50 %!! more likely to develop depression vs. those who did not consume this man-made fat.  In contrast, when the researchers analyzed the association between depression and polyunsaturated fats (like those found in oily fish) and olive oil they found these “heart-healthy” forms of fat were protective against depression.

In his infinite wisdom over 2000 years ago Hippocrates declared, “what’s good for the heart is also good for the mind.” It is unequivocal that giving yourself an “oil change” will slash your risk of heart disease and it just may slash your risk of depression too.  Click here to see the best way to Change Your Oil for optimal health.
